Hi!    We are Tracey and Aaron and we welcome you to Lavender Reflections.  Our goal is to provide you with tools to learn about and alleviate stress, anxiousness, and anxiety and even to help you shorten or reduce panic attacks.  The site contains products for purchase, informative articles, and items or services to purchase from our trusted partners. 


Tracey: I am a retired elementary school teacher and family support professional. I also hold a master's degree in School Counseling and an EdS degree in Mental Health Therapy.  I have attended continuing education workshops to learn treatments for stress and anxiety. I support various modalities for relief ranging from self-help, physiological treatments to professional counseling.  Not all solutions work for all individuals, but there are some options for those suffering from anxiety and panic attacks that can be self-guided. I have experienced anxiety and panic, and I know it is no picnic! During the isolation of the pandemic, I alleviated my symptoms by developing a multi-faceted routine which really helped.  It is our hope that the information and products on this site will help you to develop an Intentional Self-Care practice that is right for you and will help you feel so much better!


Aaron: The last few years have been tough on most of us, people of all ages, including kids, teens and even pets! It’s no surprise that anxiety levels have been on the rise. Maybe it started with remote work or school, with way too much screen time and way too little personal interaction.  Maybe it was separation from loved ones and friends, or other struggles. I have also experienced anxiety symptoms and panic attacks and know how uncomfortable that can be.  We hope the resources you find on our site will be beneficial and bring you increased wellness. 


Tracey: If your symptoms persist, despite your intentional self-care routine, please proudly pursue  mental health counseling services. Some anxiety symptoms develop in response to confusing or traumatic experiences a person may have had to endure, maybe even long ago.  If this is your situation, please seek out services with a licensed therapist. Even as you do, we hope you will take advantage of our offerings for their complementary healing benefits.
So, why the name Lavender Reflection?  Last fall, my mom was in the hospital for a prolonged stay.  Each time I would leave to visit her, I would cut some lavender from the plant near my mailbox to bring for her to smell.  That was the one thing that she seemed to enjoy during that time. A deep whiff of the flowers would lead her to close her eyes, smile, and relax for a little while. The relief it brought her was also relief to me. Reflecting back on that time, and the power of the Lavender aroma, well, our store name practically chose itself!
